Improv classes help students learn to actively listen, to communicate verbally, to collaborate, use their imaginations, and to be aware of what’s going on all around them.  Improv classes provide a safe space free of judgement, where there are no wrong choices or answers.  Children are empowered to take risks creatively and think outside the box; skills that resonate in all aspects of life.  If you are looking for an opportunity for your child to improve their communication skills, be supportive of others, learn diplomacy, think on their feet and adapt to their ever changing environment - this class is an excellent chance to do just that!   This class values process over performance!

Acting/Scene Study

6th - High School

Wednesdays: 5:30pm - 7:00pm

Tuition: $525.00

This class is designed to provide the young actor the opportunity to concentrate on and practice their acting skills.  In an encouraging nurturing environment, students will learn how to look closely at a scene to, how to explore and develop a character to bring it to life, how to work with a scene partner, further developing listening skills, and we will also do some monologue work!  This will be a fun supportive environment bolstering student's confidence and ability to take risks, and exercise their creative juices!   There will be some improvisation and a group warm up, and then we will dive into the details of a scene.

Intro to Musical Theater

Grades 1st - 3rd

Thursdays:  4:15pm - 5:00pm

Tuition: $425.00 

This class introduces students to the concept of acting, singing, and dancing all at the same time!  Students are encouraged to explore their creativity through song and play.  We begin each class with some warm up exercises for both the body and the voice where students learn the basics of good vocal technique.  Students have a great time staging musical numbers and scenes, collaborating together to tell their stories.

Musical Theater Dance

Mondays

Grades 3rd - 5th,  3:00pm - 4:00pm

Grades 5th - 8th, 4:00pm - 5:00pm, Grades 6th - HS

This class is part of our program to fill the need for the Musical Theatre student that does not study dance full time in a ballet studio, and would like to learn the techniques and dance choreography typically encountered in the dance auditions for their school musicals.  Musical Theater Dance is based on the many styles of jazz dance forms known to Broadway musical theater productions
