Policies and Waivers

PAYMENT

Full tuition payment plus a registration fee of $35.00 is due at the time of registration.

Past due accounts will be charged 1.5% interest per month on all outstanding balances plus a one time bookkeeping fee of $35.00.

Wiremill Academy, LLC accepts cash payments, checks, Visa, Mastercard, and Venmo. A $30.00 fee will be assessed on all returned checks.

No class(es) will be held for a student without a completed/signed registration form, payment in full of tuition and the registration fee.

REFUNDS

Classes and private lessons are considered to be on a full term basis. If a student withdraws from a class or private lesson two weeks prior to the start of the term, there will be a full refund minus the $35.00 registration fee. Thereafter, there will be no refunds for withdrawals from private or group classes, camps or shows.

We do not pro-rate classes or camps. We reserve the right to change or cancel a class, camp or show. We will provide 3 weeks notice to parents of this change, giving them one week to opt out of any class, camp, or show. No refunds will be given if we do not hear from the parent.

MAKEUP LESSONS

A total of ONE PRIVATE MAKE-UP LESSON will be given per semester. We request that you provide 24 hours advance notice of the missed lesson. We understand that this is unavoidable at times, and every student is entitled to one make-up private lesson per semester due to student unavailability, scheduling issues (family events, rehearsals, tech week, etc), or illness. These makeup classes may not be carried over into a subsequent semester. A makeup class which is canceled or missed by a student will be considered made-up. If make-up lessons are offered by Wiremill Academy instructors twice and refused, the lesson will be considered made-up. Lessons canceled due to inclement weather or teacher unavailability will be made up during the semester at a mutually agreed upon time, or at the end of the term. There will be no make up lessons for group classes.

CANCELLATION

Wiremill Academy, LLC reserves the right to cancel any class due to insufficient enrollment and to close a class when it reaches capacity.

There will be no classes if Wilton public schools are closed or have an early dismissal due to inclement weather.

Lessons cancelled due to inclement weather or teacher unavailability will be made up during the semester at a mutually agreed upon time, or at the end of the term. A makeup class which is canceled or missed by a student will be considered made-up.

I hereby grant Wiremill Academy, LLC permission to take photographs, videos, films, recordings, electronic images, tapes and the like of me, my son and/or daughter while participating in and/or attending programs, classes, rehearsals, performances and the like. I hereby release Wiremill Academy, LLC to reproduce and make use of my, my son and/or daughter’s name and likeness in photographs, videos, films, recordings, electronic images, printed materials and the like. I agree that such photographs, videos, films, recordings, electronic images and the plates, tapes, and/or software from which they are made shall be the sole property of Wiremill Academy, LLC. I give permission for and consent to the use of such photographs, videos, films, recordings, electronic images and the like to be sold, duplicated, reproduced and used for promotional, marketing and development purposes by Wiremill Academy, LLC, including, but not limited to, posting on the Wiremill Academy, LLC website and in news media coverage, free and clear of any claims whatsoever on my part or the part of my son and/or daughter.

ATTIRE

For your child’s safety and the safety of others, please make sure your child wears appropriate shoes: no flip flops or bare feet are permitted at any time. Please dress in comfortable clothing that allows for freedom of movement and stretching. For movement classes, children should wear jazz shoes or ballet slippers. For stage combat, sneakers are best.

CONDUCT

No food or drink in the studios. Water bottles are fine and recommended. Cell phones, electronics or toys of any kind will not be permitted in class. We ask that students be dropped off no earlier than 5 minutes prior to and picked up promptly after class. We cannot be responsible for children left unattended before or after their class without prior arrangement.

I give permission to Wiremill Academy, LLC, its employees, agents, officers, directors, agents interns and volunteers to render any necessary first aid procedures to or obtain necessary treatment for me and/or my son and/or daughter in the event of an accident, illness or personal emergency, including, but not limited to, the transportation of me and/or my son and/or daughter by a local emergency vehicle (ambulance, police or fire) to any appropriate medical facility and to receive medical treatment at that facility.

In consideration of me and/or my son and/or daughter being granted participation in the various classes, programs, activities, auditions, rehearsals, recitals, performances, productions, shows and the like (collectively “Activities”) of Wiremill Academy, LLC and with the understanding that participation in the Activities creates the possibility of injury. I hereby grant permission for myself and/or my son/and or daughter to take part in any and all Activities and hereby irrevocably release and hold harmless Wiremill Academy,

LLC, its employees, agents, officers, directors, interns, volunteers and agents from any and all claims, damages, costs, causes of action, liability of any type or nature, including, but not limited to, personal injury claims, emotional injury claims, property damages, and the like, arising out of or in connection with my or my child’s participation in any of the Activities.
